Youth

It's our vision to build up youth to love and serve the LORD, passionately pursuing God’s heart for redemption. To teach them knowledge of God and His purposes.
Spur them to impact their world. Encourage relationships among youth and cross-generational. Build up parents and families. Grow in faith together.
YM Principles
  1. Connect with Christ (growing a passion for God, his Word, and his ways)
  2. Develop character (growing in understanding of right and wrong and strength to obey)
  3. Develop interpersonal skills (ability to relate well with elders, peers, and children)
  4. Develop ministry skills (a heart for God's work and skills to do it)

The REM youth ministry works in different ways to teach, lead, and grow the youth, together with the parents at home. Our teaching and leading and activities are guided by the REM Core Values.

Sundays and Fridays

The REM youth meet for Sunday school at 10:00am Sunday and then have worship together in the English Worship service at 11:30am. We also have our Friday Night Live (FNL) weekly youth program 8:00-10:00 on Fridays at 110 Central Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. This is a school year program that includes fellowship, worship, Bible, service and fun together. During the summer we have a variety of weekend dun, mission and service activities.

There is another Young Immigrants Fellowship meeting weekly on Friday night 8:00-10:00 at REM Gaithersburg church office. This group uses primarily Chinese Mandarin in worship, fellowship, Bible, and fun activities. These young immigrants come to USA with Chinese language and culture at adolescent age, mostly, in middle or high schoolers, and college students. Therefore, we use Chinese Mandarin to be able to communicate and to teach the Bible such that we can learn and experience the true meaning of life together. In the gathering, some English will be gradually added. By the grace of God, this Fellowship orients them with spiritual and social growth to gradually adapt to the dual-languages culture and makes them to be a blessing to the society.
